Wednesday and WOYWW time!

Well this is my desk as it was on Tuesday morning...occupied by Alex who was watching demolition videos on my ipad. Although he had already had an enormous breakfast, he decided he was still hungry so ate some bread while watching!
This is my desk as it was late on Tuesday evening as my entry for WOYWW. To the left you can see some background papers I made with my new gellipad (I don't know what I am going to use them for yet, but they were fun to make!) and towards the back my acrylic paints, rubber combs and stamps left out from these experiments. My trusty mug of tea is nearly empty (well it was nearly supper time!) and to the right is a little bag with Lego in it!  The lego was used as a visual aid in a training course I have been doing....I haven't got round to putting it back in the box yet.
Life has got in the way a bit recently and I haven't had as much time to craft.  I did however complete a page of the large smash book I am doing to document Alex's school days.  This is the second page and mostly features him being given his first book, and then a picture of him reading upside down, which won him a 'bonkers about books' award.  I am entering this page into Kaboodle Doodles 'anything but a card' and PTW 'Anything goes'. That's all from me for now.  Have a great rest of the week everyone.
Love,
Caro

OOh you've made some nice backgrounds with that gelli! You'll be like Patsy now..just breeze in and pick a ready made background to be uber creative on! Love the Reading page..tis the greatest gift isn't it, to see your kid lost in a book.

Lovely idea to do a Smash Book as opposed to scrapping for your son.
Glad you like your Geliplate and are having fun with it.

bless him with his slice of bread reminds me of when my two were small and I used to take them to feed the ducks. I could never take stale bread as my two would be eating it while feeding the ducks.
Love your backgrounds and your page is fabby
Have a great WOYWW thank you for sharing your workspace today

What an adorable layout (adorable subject too!!). I don't have a gellipad and have to go see what that is. Love how your background turned out. Very fun and happy! Enjoy the day! Winnie#78

I can remember tucking into bread with no butter as a kid. Often mum would send me out to the bakers for a fresh (hot) loaf and by the time I got it home it would have a big hole in where I’d picked out the middle, Lol.
Love your new smash book page…..why is it that little ones love to read upside down……..glad he won an award for it though.
Happy Crafting!

Great to see children reading. I loved books as a child and still do, I've just transferred my love to my Kindle.LOL
It is a shame when life interferes with crafty time isn't it.

He's obviously going through a growth spurt! All I can say, as the mother of 2 boys (now 20 and 17) that it doesn't get any better!! Sorry ;) they can just pack it away!!
Love the upside down reading too...we've done something very similar in our school!

That is a great layout, and you are really making something that Alex will treasure when he grows up. Thank you for your visit and I am sorry to tease, but that project will not be on show until April as it is a DT thing for Craft A Scene. Have a good week. xx Maggie #37

awesome backgrounds! I read a post from someone who had made their own gelli plate. Interesting concept! Alex looks so intent either watching the demo or reading...wouldn't it be awesome to know exactly what is going on in their brains! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment...I like those. Have a great week. Vickie #11
